More upgrades to the Bruce Highway

Seymour Whyte and John Holland will deliver important flood proofing and congestion-busting upgrades along the Bruce Highway at the Maroochydore Road and Mons Road interchanges in Forest Glen, Queensland.

The upgrade package includes interchange improvements, new service road connections on the eastern and western side of the highway, new bridges, and new drainage structures under the highway to improve flood immunity in Eudlo Creek.

John Holland Executive General Manager QLD/NT/NZ Rob Evans said the team was excited to get started.

“This project is about creating better connected communities and improving road user safety at this location on the Sunshine Coast,” Mr Evans said.

“We are excited to use our expertise to improve these important highway connections, and this is an excellent opportunity to build on our recent success on the Edmonton to Gordonvale upgrade of the Bruce Highway.

“This work will help traffic flow more smoothly and create new opportunities for people to join the growing Queensland construction industry.”
