Completed in August 2007, the $17.1 million Normanby Pedestrian and Cycle Link (NPCL), provides efficient and safe access between Brisbane’s CBD and the inner west, southern and northern suburbs. It provides a 4.1 m wide cycle and pedestrian network to Roma Street Parklands and Albert Street in the city. This complex project saw several innovative solutions used to build a safer and environmentally sustainable product for Brisbane's community.
