Seymour Whyte Awarded Avoca Drive Upgrade, NSW Tender

Seymour Whyte has been awarded the Road Traffic Authority’s (RTA) $19.5 million Avoca Drive Upgrade at Green Point, NSW. The contract involves a 1.3 km upgrade of Avoca Drive between Sun Valley Road and Bayside Drive, including full utility reconstruction, property adjustments, earthworks, drainage, pavements, retaining walls and signalised intersections.

The section of Avoca Drive currently has one lane in each direction, with intersections at Koolang Road and Park Crescent and carries approximately 28,000 vehicles per day.Avoca Drive connects the residential suburbs of Green Point, Saratoga, Kincumber and south eastern beaches with the commercial areas of Erina and Gosford, through to the F3 Freeway. The upgrade will widen the road from one lane to two lanes in each direction, with improved intersections, cycleway and pedestrian facilities.
