Seymour Whyte wins National CCF Earth Award

In late October Seymour Whyte's Central Coast Highway Upgrade, Wamberal project was announced the national winner of the Category 3 award.

National award dinner was held in Perth where the project was up against many technically difficult and challenging projects that were showcased to the 400 plus industry representatives in attendance.

The CCF Earth Awards have the specific aim of recognising and rewarding Excellence in Civil Construction. Broken up in to five categories according to project value, Category 3 included projects valued from $5 m to $20 m. The Earth Awards are designed to highlight:

  • Construction Technique
  • Environmental Management
  • Project Management

Other areas of assessment included: Construction Excellence, Industry Best Practice, Innovation, Interface with other Parties, Technical Complexity, Management of Environment, Resource Re-use and recycling, Improvement of Environmental Amenity, Community Consultation, Project Management and Planning, Quality Control, OHS, Workplace Training, Achieving Timing and Budgets.
